“Murmur's delightfully different to most trendy city bars. Given its
old world charm, a Thursday or Friday drink here with your colleagues
can't go wrong”.

“Only those truly on a mission will find this Cuban-inspired bar, which
is buried off the main drag. As eclectic as its young hombre designer
barmen, the loft space comes across all zen-with an edge. Think
candles, plants, minimalist art, floorboards and crystal chandeliers”.
- Herald Sun, Citystyle
“Consistent with its name, Murmur isn’t about to trumpet its presence.
The only hint of a bar is a luminous blue sign which is why more people
don’t stumble across it. A revamped warehouse, the exposed beams and
antique pulley system remain, joined by luxe chocolate couches and the
occasional chandelier. Almost everything about Murmur is graciously
understated, right down to the barely-there turntables. But the drinks
do make an impression, especially the truncated cocktail list. Instead
of trying to cram a mini-bar into one drink, they focus on well
harmonised, interesting ingredients”.

“This place off Little Bourke Street goes the full “hidden bar”
experience: not only do you need to wander down a bin-strewn alleyway,
you need to climb some stairs as well. The journey is worth it,
yielding a conversation-friendly space in an old warehouse, rope and
pulley still intact beneath the timber ceiling. Leather armchairs and
sofas sit side-by-side with modern benches and low wooden tables. The
cocktail list contains some pleasant variations on the champagne
cocktail, and the bar is well-stocked with the range of 42 Below
vodkas”.
